Daddy's Birthday/Easter Part 2

My daddy shared his birthday with Easter Sunday this year! He already had an early birthday present (going to London with a buddy), so mom wanted to let him know that she loves him without breaking the bank. She put thirty cards and  thirty  one dollar bills on the dinning room table :). Cheese-ball, but cute!

Marmee made daddy this yummy choclate peanut butter ganache cake! Yummmmmm!

I thought it was the perfect bed time snack :)

Daddy's birthday was rather exciting, but not as exciting as the Easter Bunny! Don't you just love my Easter bucket? Mom made it for me, and one for Colin too!

We both got LOTS of really cool stuff. Colin had a whole soccer get up in his basket!

After playing with my things, mommy let me play in the bath and then she put on my Easter dress. This picture does not do my cuteness in this dress justice.

I was feeling loving, and gave Colin a sweet kiss before heading to church.

Here is the closest thing to a family picture that we got. The sun was not in our favor, but I think it is decent of everyone (except Spark!).

This is a terrible picture of my mommy and me! But we had to include one as proof that she was there! Love you lots mommy!

After church I napped at Marm and Pops while mom and dad ate lunch. When I woke up we went to Aunt Cybil's house! And guess who I got to play with......

Braxton!

and Libby

and Addi!!! I also played with Wyatt, Gabe, Bryson, and Alexis!

We had another Easter egg hunt, and I did a good job finding the eggs! I still wasn't a fan of putting them into the basket when I found them though.

Aunt Peggy brought a really cool carton of eggs to share. Libby opened them all and they had toys in each egg to help tell the story of Easter. Mom wants one for next year.

Ouch!/BIG Granny/Easter Part 1

My Saturday morning started out a little tough. Sparky and I ran into each other and I bumped into the corner of the wall. OUCH! I had a knot the size of a golf ball immediately, but only cried for a minute. Mommy gave me ice and tv to make it all better :).

We drove an hour to my Big Granny's house for her birthday party! Granny would not smile for me (she is a stinker!), so I caught her off guard :). Ha! Love the face!

Marmee let me play with her Easter egg basket while everyone ate. I liked taking the eggs out, giving them to people (especially JoJo), and putting them back in.

Once the old folks were finished eating, I had an Easter egg hunt! Jojo didn't feel well, so it was just me and a lot of eggs. I didn't really get the egg hunting process. Why put them in the basket? I wanted to hold them all.

I wasn't feelin' the bunny ears either....

luckily mom wasn't being pushy about me wearing them.

My Poppy took me up the hill to see the moo cows! They mooed A LOT and REALLY loud. I jumped a little the first time they did it.

Of course it wasn't all moo cows and egg hunting. I also did one of my favorite things, played in the dirt.

and hung out with these two silly nuts!

Mom and dad thought I would take a little nap on the way home, but they were wrong. My two boys snuck in a few z's though.

Marmee and mommy decided to make the day extra long and exhausting!
We went to Marm and Pop's house to dye Easter eggs and get our baskets.

I was a tired girl, but enjoyed a nice book with my Poppy.

My Easter basket was full of lots of awesome things! A singing bunny, shoes, books, and many other fun things. But the thing that I WOULD NOT put down -
Yeup.... raisins. I double fisted these bad boys until it was time to leave!

There will be more Easter pics coming your way soon! Happy B-day Granny!

30, 60, 91....

....would be the title of my post if I combined my daddy, marmee, and big granny's birthday posts together. You see, my Daddy turns 30 on Sunday (yes, Easter), my Marmee turned 60 today, and my Big Granny turned 91 on Thursday. Mom talked me out of combining all the posts, because she said there would be WAY too many pictures for one post. So we will start with the first celebration, my Marmee's....

Notice anything new? My Poppy gave my Marmee a new BIG diamond ring for her birthday!

We started off the day going over to Marmee's house to give her an early morning kiss, and her present (a purse). Marmee had a massage and lunch with one of her besties, then she got her nails done with my mommy. I came over to play after the big girls were finished being pampered.

Since mommy was getting her nails done, daddy dressed me. It wasn't until I was playing out in the backyard at M&P's house that mom noticed my butt looked big. She lifted up my skirt and started laughing. I was a little embarrassed. She discovered my bloomers still attached to my skirt (it's new). Daddy completely missed that one!

So, he took them out of my skirt and put them on me. This is what I looked like when he finished.....

Boys! Good thing mommy was there to fix me.

Jojo and Jakob came over along with some of Mamee's good friends to celebrate. Uncle Jake read us girls a story, but it looks like he was the only one interested.

My Aunts Katie and Beth were there, both refusing to pose for a pic. So mommy sneaked this one in :). Do we love the feathers? Jakob told Beth she was an Indian. Ha!

Marmee and Susan with the yummy ice cream cake. Notice Marmee sticking her hand out? Do you think she likes her present?

Do you think Colin and I liked the cake? Ha! I was begging for more!

The best thing about the party? I got to stay up past my bed time! Some of the big and little kids played dodge ball in the front yard (still not sure why they didn't play in the back yard...), and I was happy to play along. You can't tell from this pic. but there were eight of us playing, and I was never "it." Must be my quick feet.

When 8:30 rolled around, mommy and daddy decided not to push their luck and to load Colin and me up to go home. Love you Marmee~ hope your birthday was everything you wished for and more.

Chillaxin

Mommy has FINALLY figured out how to get ready for church stress free! She waits until the last minute to dress me, and only worries about making herself look nice. Meanwhile, she lets me hang out in my diaper on her bed while watching a movie (my favorite at the time is a Baby Genius, I think because I haven't watched it in months!).

I can't believe it took her so long to get this system down. It's what I had been trying to tell her I wanted to do. Being naked + watching a movie = bliss!

15 months of fun!

That's right folks, I've been enjoying running the Mountjoy household officially for 15 months now! I am constantly growing and changing. See-

I was feeling very loving today, giving Sparky a kiss,

and all my favorite animals love.

Here are a few fun things about me at the ripe old age of 15 months:
  • I have eleven teeth, but number twleve is fast on its way.
  • I am slimming down and starting to look more and more like a toddler (tears for mommy). I went to the doctor last week due to a virus and weighed 24lbs. with a wet diaper and jammers on!
  • I am wearing 18 month pj's and 18-24 month clothing. I have a few 2T t-shirts, but they are a little long in the arms.
  • My must-have item for naps and "hard days" is my pigers.
  • I have a really fun sense of humor. I like it when people laugh at me, and enjoy being called funny.
  • My hair is really growing. Not sure how long we will go without a trim yet.
  • I sat rear facing as long as I could stand it. I am officially forward facing  and LOVE IT!
  • My favorite foods include: goldfish, yogurt, blueberries, and anything sweet that an adult is eating.
  • I am consistently taking one nap a day.
  • Sesame Street is starting to intrigue me. I especially like Elmo's World.
  • If I am outside I am happy.
  • Mom tells me I am super smart. Far advanced for my age :).
  • Animals of any kind are my favorite.
  • I am repeating lots of new words, and growing up so fast!

A fun day with my mommy

Every day with my mommy is a fun day ( smile), but today was extra fun! It was a beautiful and sunny day outside, perfect for playing! Who did I call to play on the Little General playground in Ringgold with me? Who else but JoJo!! My baby cousin by 8 weeks exactly. We play together every Monday, Tuesday, and everyother Wednesday at my Marmee's house. Since mommy didn't work this Wednesday, I asked her to call Joli to come play.

I had a great time running around, and playing with all the neat "toys,"

but my favorite thing was playing with the wood chips. I was one messy girl!

I went down the big girl slide all by myself, kind of :). Mommy let me sit in her lap for a really big slide too!

I loved climbing up the playground equipment. It involved my favorite activity, climbing up stairs.

After a fun morning at the park, I needed a little nap. Mom and I went home and rested up so we could meet Anita and Braxton at the Zoo! I miraculously stayed in my stroller the whole time. Mom was super impressed by that!

Monkeys, snakes, lepards, and birds were a few of my favorite animals. Every time I saw an animal I would point it out to my mommy and say "hi" to it.

The most bizzare animal that we saw was this:

it's called a capybara, and boy was it strange looking!
I had such a fun day with mommy today! When I got home I ate dinner and crashed before my already early 7:30 bed time. I can't wait to see mom try and top this fantastically fun day!
