Big girl school

I started big girl school this week! I am going to Mother's (or Marmee's on Mondays) Morning Out at my church on Mondays and Fridays from 8:30-12:00 each week :). I wasn't sure if I would like it or not, but guess what? I LOVE IT! Marmee took me on Monday for my first day, and I didn't even cry! She wasn't able to snap good pics of me on Monday, so mom tried to on Friday.....

Here I am stretching before heading out for my first Friday of MMO! It's hard work going to school!

I did manage to actually look at the camera for one picture. Mom can't stop looking at this picture, and I've even heard her saying "I can't believe how big my baby is." Uhhhhh mom.....I'm not a BABY anymore.

I really like my teacher, and there are just three cute girls in my class :)! Joli and I being two of those girls, and another sweet girl Lily (who lived behind mommy and daddy in her old house when she was in her mommy's belly!).

When mommy picked me up I had a beautiful picture, and a happy note to give her!
We learned about the animals that God made, and the sounds that they make this past week. Anyone who knows me knows that I love animals and their sounds!!

By the time mommy got Joli and I in the car (which looked a little difficult on her part), and we got home I was sooooo tired! We ate lunch and then took a 2 1/2 hour nap!

I love going to big girl school! Thank you mommy for letting me spread my wings :).

7 years, 20 months :)

My bubba turned 7 Monday! We had a low key swimming party on Saturday for him, and wouldn't you know that I was running a 103 temp. that day! Daddy took me to the doctor twice Saturday morning. When he called at 5 a.m. to find out when they opened, he was told 9:00.  They failed to mention that the doctor would not be in until 10:30.  Soooo, we were there at 9:00 sharp, only to THEN be told the doctor would be on rounds until 10:30.  Needless, to say none of us were happy, most of all ME!  Two trips to the doctor in one morning....arrgh!   I am on an antibiotic for a few more days, and hopefully I'll be back to my old self.

Mom is bummed that the chaos of me being sick Saturday caused her to forget to take the camera to Colin's party.  It really teed me off too, since I couldn't go and wanted to see the pictures.  Ahhhh! She did get some pics of Colin on his scavenger hunt to find his presents though....

A telescope...

Official Duke uniform :)

Silly bands and some cash money :)

A basketball signed by the Duke coaching staff,

and some other fun stuff (like the Legos that mom does not love because they have lots of tiny pieces).  I love my Ca-ca so much and am glad I got to celebrate his official birthday with him at Cici's on Monday!

Here are a few random pics of me from the past week or two, because no post is complete without a few pics of me :).

I am still loving my Wiggles. Greg/Sam is my favorite, probably because yellow is my favorite color. Doesn't my hair look lovely here?

Mom says this picture will be priceless one day. We are thinking it will be the MOST embarrassing for Jakob since he is five years old taking a bath with his little cousins :)! Jakob, were you trying to spank me?

I've been crummy feeling for about two weeks. It started out with a runny nose, so I have become close with my nose sucker once again.

I am becoming such a girly girl! I want to pull out shoes and try them all on and dance when I'm hanging in my room. I also like to wear my bows, and when I see beautiful things I say "OOOOOOHHHHH PRETTY."

Here are a few more of my 20 month stats:

weight: about 30 whopping pounds!

clothing size: 2T

Favorite words/phrases:
  •  I love you ______ (momma, dadda, Pop Pop, Marne..etc..)

  • Next please (when listening to music, and I'm bored with the current song)
  • teeth please (when I want to brush my teeth)
  • happy bath (when I take my bath)
  • No, no Sparky
  • __________where are you???

Songs I sing along to:
  • Jesus loves me
  • Elmo's World

Dance Party

Jojo and I are enjoying spending five days a week together in our pjs :). Well, we don't really stay in our pj's the WHOLE time, but usually until around 2:00 or 3:00. We spent at least 45 minutes in my room this morning having a dance party. Mom thought we were sooo cute, she ran downstairs, grabbed her camera and managed to capture a few shots of our fun!

Toot Toot Chugga Chugga....

Saturday we drove all the way to Atlanta to see one of my favorite music groups, The Wiggles :)! I brought my Wiggles figures with me for the ride. We played for a minute, but I fell asleep before we got on the free way, and stayed that way until we got there. Score for mommy and daddy!

When we arrived I had no clue where we were, but it looked like fun with all the other kids running around. I recognized my Wiggly friends in this poster and got excited!

I also ran into my Kindermusik friends Landon and Natalie. We were all wound up, so there was no way  daddy could capture a picture of all of us!

Mommy and I were ready for the show with our snacks in hand. We couldn't wait for the Wiggles to come out and sing and dance.

Once the show started, mommy and I danced and sang along! I wanted to waved to all the characters during the show.
Daddy even danced with me and did a little stamp, stamp, stamp! Clap, clap, clap! Wiggle your hips just like that!

The show was two hours of singing, dancing, wiggly fun! I could have stayed there all night long, and then some!

We want to go back the next time they come into town for sure, and next time we want to sit on the floor so I can get in the aisle by myself and dance.

This morning I played and played with my Wiggles dolls, and even put on my Wiggles t-shirt from the concert with my pj bottoms!

Mommy and daddy were so proud of me, and how well behaved I was. They said they can't wait to take me to more shows in the future.

It truly was a Wiggly party that I will never forget!

Busy Busy

I guess we are officially back in the swing of things.... mom had her first inservice day on Monday. She worked Monday, Tuesday (which was a late day because of open house), and Wednesday. Thursday mommy watched Joli and me before she ran out to school to meet her class and pick up my cousin Jakob from his first day of Kindergarten. Friday mommy watched Jojo and me again. Saturday mommy had a cheerleading meeting 45 minutes away- she was gone forever :(. Today daddy and I went to church while mommy stayed home with sick Colin. I went to mommy's school to help her work after my nap, and then my cousins Jakob and Joli came over to play. Mom has been too tired to take many pictures, or have the energy to help me blog. Here are a few pictures of our last week:

Mommy has a solar system class room. I think it's cool. My daddy drew the space ship in this picture, he always helps mommy out in her classroom.

Joli and I enjoyed our snack at my new table. Mommy got it from a friend at school for $10. She sanded it today, and will hopefully be painting it tonight. We love it!

We had the BEST time in our happy bath. We played until mommy said the water was too cold. I hope I can blog more in the following weeks, but I guess we will just have to see :).

Last week with mommy and daddy

We have had a fun and busy last week before mommy and daddy have to go back to work. Every day we had some kind of activity or errands to run (usually both!). We FINALLY made it to the Creative Discovery Museum on Tuesday. Before we left mom put my hair in a pony tail. I took it out 3 times before she finally decided to let me just wear it down.

Colin and I were excited about being one of the first people to the museum. We enjoyed some of the outdoor attractions before going in.

Colin (and my daddy :) ) used this pulley to make a BIG bubble surround them. It was super funny to watch them try not to pop it.

I didn't have the best experience possible because I was not allowed to have my snack inside the museum. If my parents had known they would have given it to me in the car. Guess they will know for next time.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed myself. I just had a few mini melt downs and constantly asked for my "sack."

The cool thing about the Creative Discovery Museum is Colin and I can both have an equal amount of fun! There are tons of things to do for both of our age groups.

The balancing seal was one of my favorite things. It combined two things that I love dearly- an animal and being able to take things out/put things in to containers.

The sugar on top was the book room. Mom and I sat in there and read until I was ready to go.

We had a fun family morning out, and can't wait to go back again. We will remember to eat a snack BEFORE we go :).
