I've seen better days....

Sunday night/Monday morning was not a good time for my family. I was up screaming and crying in pain for most of the night. Mommy was the only person that I wanted, and at times she didn't quite do the trick. Mom made me a doctor's appointment first thing on Monday morning. Daddy took me to the doctor, a first for him by himself. The verdict? My very first ear infection.
Meet my first prescription:

I was so worn out after my doctor's visit. This is how mommy found me when she got off work:

I usually do not fall asleep while someone is holding me, and certainly not in the middle of the living room with "things" going on around me. But I was sooooo tired I just didn't care. Mommy scoped me up and cuddled me for the rest of the night. Luckily I've had great sleep since Monday, I even slept for 13 1/2 hours Monday night! Mom sent dad in to see if I was still breathing, ha!

I am on the upswing, but still not 100%. I am a bit "fragile" at times, and slightly irritable. Mr. Piggers has been by my side 24/7 for the past few days, he is a true friend. Hope the next time you hear from me I feel like a brand new baby girl.

16 of the best months of my life :)

I will be 16 months old tomorrow! How time flies! So, what am I up to? Well, I weigh about 26 1/2 lbs, and I'm about 32 inches tall.

We have discovered that I am not friends with pollen, making it really difficult for me to go outside and play much (it rained REALLY hard last night, so mommy thought we could try it for a little bit today- yeah!). This has been difficult, because playing outside is my favorite activity!

Spark is one of my BFF's. The nice people at the dog grooming store even put a bow in his hair today so we could match. How sweet of them!

I am constantly on the go. My Marmee says I am "busy." I am starting to enjoy playing by myself more and more each day.

I FINALLY cut tooth number 12 giving me a nice full mouth of fangs :). I have never tried to bite anyone, probably because I am scared that mom would bite me back. Mom thinks I am working on yet another tooth at the moment. I guess that is why I am drooling and having pain in my mouth.

I am really good at showing people how sweet I am. I give love A LOT, and blow kisses when it's time to go bye-bye.

I am still a serious thinker. I like to study things that I am not sure about, and often times give a very stern face. Don't let this face fool you, I'm a little sweetie!

I am saying new words every day (mommy's favorite at the moment is me saying "uh-oh" when I drop something- I do it A LOT), and constantly surprising mommy and daddy with new "tricks."

My brother the baseball star

Have I mentioned that our weekends and two nights (at least) a week are spent at the ball field? I am not complaining at all, because being outside is one of my all time favs! Colin had a tournament this past weekend down the road from our house. I spent my WHOLE Saturday afternoon at the ball fields and made the championship game Sunday evening.
Here I am with the stud:

Grandma always comes to Colin's games. She loves watching him play, and playing with me :).

Colin plays first base or short stop. He really likes playing first base best, but he is happy to play wherever they need him. He was playing short stop Sunday evening. My daddy even crept into this picture :). How cute are both of my boys?

The other team started chanting while Colin and his friends were batting. Colin decided to start a little "hey batter batter" back at 'em. Ha!

I did what I normally do. Played in the dirt, tried to put rocks in my mouth, and ran around as hard as I could.

Colin hit a home run his first time up to bat! It went right down the first base line all the way to the fence! He hit the ball well each time, and made it home a lot!

Look how dirty his pants are! Mommy does not  like doing laundry every night when we come home. But, she really has no choice because we are all filthy!

Colin's team lost the championship game, but it's ok because they played really well and had fun. I'll do another baseball post soon when my cousin Libby is there (Bryson had to miss this game :( ).  We have loads of fun playing together with some other little friends. See you next time!

Soccer Star!

My cousin Jakob is a total soccer stud! Mommy, daddy, Colin, and I watched him play on "the yellow team" Saturday morning.

Colin, Joli, and I helped Jakob warm up before his game.

Joli and I couldn't decide who should play goalie. She may be quick, but my volume takes up most of the goal.

Mommy and daddy told me to hurry up and stand on the sidelines so we could cheer Jakob on! Go Jakob Go!

He has the soccer stance down.

Doesn't he look like such a big boy out there? Mommy says she can remember when he was my age, and that it doesn't seem like it was very long ago.

The gang decided to chill out and have a snack/rest during half time. We had yummy goldfish and raisins.

Jakob and Colin even worked out a spend the night party! They couldn't wait to get together later that night for wii games and hot tub (maybe even swimming pool) time.
I can't wait to have spend the night parties with Jojo when I'm older.

Colin was an awesome big brother to me during the game. He played soccer with Jojo and I. I just love him.

Jakob had a fantastic game scoring one of two goals for his team! The Yellow team won 2-1! Woo-hoo!

Colin and I can't wait to come back a see Jakob play again!

you can't leave me alone for a second....

Mommy was down the hall putting my new clothes away (notice the Gymboree bag on the floor) while I was having fun in the plant. She came to check on me when she noticed that it was a little quiet, and this is what she found-

A mess! I told her I was sorry, and even offered to help her clean up. After a little sweeping and vacuuming the floors have never looked better.

I am getting faster and faster at getting into things quickly! Mom told dad she can't turn around for two seconds! She'll never have to go back to the gym with me around :).

Shots

Mommy told me we were going to see Dr. Jung for my 15 month check up this morning. You know what that means.... shots! Here is the face that I made when she told me what was going down:

I always love playing in the waiting room and seeing Miss. Stacy and Dr. Jeanie. I got to play in the tool room today! Mommy let me snack on raisins while we waited. I am 26 lbs. 10 oz. and 33 inches tall! I am such a big growing girl!

I did scream a little while the four shots were given, but stopped quickly (as soon as mommy let me play with her car keys). I crashed in the car, and continued my nap through a Starbucks run and visit to daddy. I even napped for an hour and a half when I got home. I woke up in a great mood ready to play! Mommy took a picture of my pitiful little leg and arm with the big 'ol band-aids.

See you at my 18 month check up Dr. Jeanie!

Bye Bye Bink!

That's right, no more binky. Mommy and Daddy decided that 15 months would be a good time to take my beloved bink away. I only got it for naps and night-night, so it wasn't too hard on any of us.  We were all on Spring break this week, so if I happened to have a difficult time during the night, no biggie. But you know what? I didn't! I have been such a big girl.

Smiling and happy to play, play, play! I have developed a new passtime, which mom thinks I am replacing my binky with...

Spitting. Water, milk, saliva, you name it. I love the way it feels on my chin, and really like seeing in on the floor and rubbing my hands in it.

I am interested to see how mom will "fix" this one!

The zoo take two!

I love $1 Wednesday at the Chattanooga Zoo! You may remember my mommy took me a few weeks ago with Braxton and his mommy. We had so much fun, mommy and I decided to take daddy and Colin. I was the official tour guide :).

Mr. Chimp was very friendly with me today. We are officially bff for life.

In fact, I warmed up to all the animals. I liked pointing and talking to all of them.

I warmed up to them so much that I was mad at my daddy for not letting me jump in the cage with the prairie dogs. They were sooo cute and furry.

Luckily I chilled out and snapped a picture with Colin :). How hilarious do I look? Mommy loves it!

I prefered running from the front to the back of the board to see Colin and mommy's face on both sides.

And you wouldn't even believe what we got to do for the second time this week....ride the carousel! The one at the park was much faster, but I liked the animals on this one better.

I rode the rhino, and was able to talk to the zebra the whole time.

Bye Zoo! I will hopefully see you again soon!

A Fun, HOT day with the familia

Mommy and daddy are both off work this week for Spring break, perk for having a mom and dad as educators :). They decided to take Colin and me downtown for an afternoon of fun. First stop- the aquarium. Colin posed nicely for a picture while we waited for daddy to get our tickets.

I was not as patient.

Once we were in the aquarium I was such a good girl, and soooo excited that the penguins were being playful and showing off. They would swim in front of me (when I wasn't on daddy's shoulders) and I would wave and laugh at them.

The fish were cute too! I just love watching them all swim around.

Here is a pic. with my daddy and Colin. We were in the super cool cave under the fish tank.

We left the aquarium and headed to the park. We found a nice shadey spot beside a big tree, so we set up shop there. After mom lathered me up in sunscreen I ran around.

I really liked playing soccer with Colin. He even let me kick the ball some, but mostly I just chased it from person to person.

We were all hot, so daddy got us some ice cream from Clumpies. I ate all of mine, and then had some bites from mommy and daddy. Oink! Oink!

Before we headed home Colin, Mommy, and I rode the carousel. I liked the tiger until mom put me on him. I wassn't feeling it. So we sat in a buggy while the carousel went round and round.

Colin had so much fun riding on his horse that he wanted to ride it again. But it was getting close to dinner time (we decided to take our picnic home due to the 88 degree weather!).

Tomorrow already looks like lots of fun. We are meeting Bryson and Libby at Pump it Up for free play.
